Ms Brenda Lwakatare

Brenda Lwakatare is an MSocSci Development Studies candidate in the Department of Anthropology, Archeology and Development Studies. She researches informal businesses, particularly in mediation between institutional and non-institutional governance and justice systems. Brenda’s research is centred around addressing the obstacles informal traders face. Her extensive studies have led her to conduct in-depth research on street traders in Dar Es Salaam City and analyse informal policies, as well as justice and governance systems in Tanzania.
