Prospects: Workplace mediation
Based in Kenya, the project seeks to examine the relationship between forcibly displaced people (whether legal or illegal migrants or refugees) and their workplace (employers).
In this project the CMA will work closely with relevant stakeholders in Kenya including provincial and national government departments, forcibly displaced people/migrant/refugee organizations, informal labour organizations, labour organizations (including trade unions) and labour and human rights legal practitioners. Using an innovative digital stakeholder mapping exercise, the project aims to establish an early warning system for potential conflicts or instability affecting migrants/refugees and their workplaces, and a digital tracking system to ensure the sustainability of the networks.
