On 18 June, Dr Chenai Matshaka, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Human Rights (CMA), participated in a virtual book discussion on The Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa.

The event featured thought-provoking insights from keynote speakers Prof. Trésor Makunya, Associate Professor at the University of Goma, and Dr Celestine Nyamu Musembi, Senior Lecturer at the University of Nairobi.

Dr Matshaka joined Prof. Balingene Kahombo, also from the University of Goma, as co-discussants, contributing to a rich and engaging conversation on the protocol’s significance and implementation across the continent.
